Vicarage Lane Wines has a range of Marlborough and Canterbury wines, all produced under the watchful eye of vastly experienced Canterbury winemaker Alan McCorkindale.
The current range includes:
The Sauvignon Blanc 2024 crop from Vicarage Lane's vineyards was machine-harvested on 14, 20 and 22 March and 2, yielding 227.68 tonnes of good quality fruit.
The harvested fruit was pressed at Spring Creek Vintners, just a few kilometres from the vineyards, yielding about 181 000 litres of juice, which will be crafted into Vicarage Lane's 2024 under the watchful eye of renowned New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale.
Initial bottling of the finished wine takes place in July and, after rigorous export testing to ensure the wine meets New Zealand’s high export standards, the first export shipment can be expected to arrive in Finland late in the northern summer.
In general 2023-24 was a good growing season, but the yields were generally below the long term average. If the quantity was down, the quality was even better than normal, so you can expect some beautiful Sauvignon Blanc wines from 2024 vintage.
